OpenSimulator Community Conference 2015 

The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the developer and user community creating the OpenSimulator software. Organized as a joint production by Core Developers of OpenSimuator and AvaCon, the virtual conference features presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, and social events across diverse sectors of the OpenSimulator user base.

I am a lecturer at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. I teach Chinese language and culture at undergraduate level. I have been in Second Life for over 12 years and am know branching out into OpenSim and other platforms. My main interest is in researching and developing ways to combine task-based language learning and virtual worlds to enhance students' learning experiences. We have a Chinese themed region in Second Life called Chinese Island that has been used for task-based teaching and learning for since 2008.
