OpenSimulator Community Conference 2015 

The OpenSimulator Community Conference is an annual conference that focuses on the developer and user community creating the OpenSimulator software. Organized as a joint production by Core Developers of OpenSimuator and AvaCon, the virtual conference features presentations, workshops, keynote sessions, and social events across diverse sectors of the OpenSimulator user base.

Dr. Cynthia Calongne, aka Lyr Lobo, is a Professor of Doctoral Studies at CTU and in Computer Science at CCCOnline. She taught 52 university classes in virtual worlds and received the 2017 Thinkerer award from the Virtual Worlds Best Practices in Education. Her team won the $25,000 grand prize for their Mars Expedition space simulation, after which, she helped to design the Bar Karma TV show with Will Wright, famous for The Sims, SimCity and Spore.

Dr. Calongne published over 30 papers and books on education and games, and recently, the book Integrating an Awareness of Selfhood and Society into Virtual Learning with Andy, Barbara, Rachel Umoren, Valerie Hill, Kae Novak, Fil Arenas, and many distinguished members of our virtual world community.
