United Federation Starfleet is one of the largest RolePlay communities on OpenSim, with Colonies on 3rd Rock Grid, Digiworldz, Metropolis, and Tangle. We maintain the UF Starfleet Academy, where members may take a myriad of classes based on Star Trek canon, our own RP history (inspired by ST Voyager), and scifi fandom. Members work together in ship- or station-based teams to write stories inspired by Gene Roddenberry's vision. Through story-telling and community, we connect with each other on a global basis, improve language skills, and enhance creative skills individually and as an organization. This year, besides organizing and/or attending a myriad of events, I have participated in over 200 roleplays, writing over 200,000 words, improving my spelling and exercising my creative muscle, and am now working on a scifi novel.
